Glosses: to rain

2. with accusative loci, ἑπτὰ ἐτέων οὐκ ὗε τὴν Θήρην for seven years it did not rain on Thera, (Herdotus Historicus):—;hence in Pass. with future middle to be rained on , (Odyssey by Homer); ὕσθησαν αἱ Θῆβαι Thebes was rained upon , i. e. it rained there, (Herdotus Historicus); ἡ χώρη ὕεται, i. e. it rains in the country, (Herdotus Historicus)
